Hyundai Santro Summary
Hyundai has brought back the Santro nameplate with a new design and more features. It comes with a petrol engine and a bi-fuel (Petrol with CNG) option. Presently, this car is available in six different variants – Era Executive, Magna Executive, Magna, Sportz Executive, Sportz and Asta.
The Santro gets Hyundai’s signature large cascade grille. Besides, it features halogen headlamps with integrated turn signals and fog lamps below the headlamps. At the rear end, it comes with a rear window wiper plus washer, rear defogger and a rear parking camera. The Santro comes with 14-inch steel wheels for top-spec models while 13-inch steel wheels are standard in other variants. Moreover, it is available in six paint alternatives.
The cabin of this hatchback features a beige and black theme interior. There is a 6.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports smartphone navigation and connectivity via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well as smartphone mirroring. A multifunction steering wheel has audio, Bluetooth and voice recognition switches.
The Santro is equipped with a standard Anti-lock braking system as well as Electronic Brake-force Distribution and two front airbags. Also, Hyundai has equipped the CNG variants with a fire extinguisher.
This car gets a 1.1-liter inline four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 68bhp and 99Nm of torque while the CNG-powered engine makes 59bhp and 85Nm of torque. The petrol engine is mated to either a five-speed manual or an automatic transmission whereas the CNG variants only come with a five-speed manual gearbox.
